Working with a core group of remarkable education providers, internal colleagues and Elected Members alike, this role will suit someone of equal passion and ambition. With a clear three-year strategic plan, you will join the largest directorate here at Bridgend County Borough Council, with a firm focus on building upon the excellent relationships that already exist and delivering for the future together. With substantial experience in the education sector, ideally as a Head of/Assistant Director level within a local authority or as a Headteacher, you will form part of our high performing education professionals focused on improving education outcomes for our young people.

With the development of our new three-year strategic plan, your role will be to drive the effective delivery of these objectives, with a clear focus on integrated service delivery, prevention and wellbeing. With this in mind, we are seeking a candidate with extensive senior experience in either social care, health, or an aligned sector. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of social care models, delivering best value and your transformational, strategic skillset. A well-developed political acumen is essential, as you will work closely with our elected members and Cabinet to drive forward Bridgend County Borough Council’s ambitions.
