About the roles
Head of Strategy, Early Years and Youth
This is a rare chance to shape the future of early years provision, youth services including youth justice, and key support services such as school transport and catering.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering our £100m+ School Modernisation Capital Investment Programme, as well as lead on corporate health and safety and safeguarding arrangements within the Education, Early Years and Young People Directorate. Working alongside the Corporate Director and Head of Learning, you will help drive transformational change, ensuring our services are responsive, innovative, and focused on improving outcomes for children and young people.
Head of Service – Public Realm
This is a rare chance to lead a diverse portfolio of statutory and public facing services, including Planning & Development, Strategic Regeneration, Economic Development, Green Spaces, Bereavement Services, and Sustainability.
In this newly created role, you will also play a key role in shaping the future of our communities through innovative strategies and transformational change. Working closely with the Corporate Director – Communities, you will provide strategic leadership and operational excellence, ensuring the delivery of capital programmes and our regeneration schemes, as well as leading economic development services ensuring they are delivered effectively, meet statutory requirements, and respond to the evolving needs of our residents.
